Live in Louisville going worldwide!
November 18, 2009
Live in Louisville will be released worldwide (digitally) on November 24th! Recorded while Carrie was opening for Lucinda Williams in April 2007 is now available exclusively via this site, at her shows, via Waterloo Records in Austin; and via Ear X-tacy in Louisville, KY! We were lucky enough to have Lu's crew professionally record Carrie's set. That full set, was recorded at The Brown Theater. Needless to say, Carrie & the band were in very fine form that night and well - we hope you'll wanna hear it. A huge THANK YOU to Lucinda, her mgmt & crew for gifting this to us.
In November, we'll play dates in Danville, IN; Columbus, OH; Ann Arbor, MI; and Traverse City, MI. While we're in Columbus, Carrie & Hans w/Romantica in tow will visit the WCBE studios at 1 pm. While in Ann Arbor, she and the boys will tape a future segment for Acoustic Cafe. While in Travese City, she & the boys will drop in on WNMC for an interview/performance (love their tag line - "small town station, world class music").
In January, she's been invited to open a few dates for Edwin McCain (Jan 7-9). Then we're proud to be a part of "an Acoustic Cafe evening" w/Ben Solle (Jan 20-22, Jan 24-31) and have one date as a co-headline affair w/Justin Townes Earle out on Long Island. On the morning of January 23rd - she'll premier some of the forthcoming new album songs on Dave Marsh's SIRIUS/XM show at 11 am (est).
In February, Erin McKeown joins Carrie & Ben Sollee on the "an Acoustic Cafe evening" tour (2/2-2/6). Next up, Carrie joins "The Acoustic Brotherhood Tour" with Los Lonely Boys & Alejandro Escovedo (2/11-3/2). Thrilled that the boys chose to add some "chica" this time out.
In March, after finishing up "The Acoustic Brotherhood Tour", Carrie will return home to Austin and will be honored by and perform two of her songs with the Austin Youth Orchestra on March 7th. Yes, she was a member of the AYO as a younger lady (she's STILL young). Then, she'll do a few Texas dates (Denton on the 11th, Houston on the 13th) before being very visible at The SXSW Music & Media Conference in Austin (3/17-20) - note SXSW stuff is mostly private or open to badge holders only.
