Thank you for your interest in the Sacred Heart Project! This page will give you the nitty gritty concerning how the fundraising works and what your donations are funding.

For the first time in my career, I am no longer affiliated with a record label. I am grateful for the support I’ve had from labels in the past. I won’t lie - there were certain pressures that I had to navigate, but the good DEFINITELY outweighed the bad. Given the current climate of the music industry, most artists such as myself are now left with the dilemma of funding their own records. This dilemma, however, brings with it an enormous benefit: complete creative control. With your help, I am very excited to embark on this new model of music making!

We have spent the last few months researching online fundraising platforms, many of which you may already be familiar with. What you may not be as familiar with is the fact that these popular platforms take between 10 - 15% of your donations for the service they provide. Given this, we explored the possibility of creating our own fundraising platform so that 100% of your generous donations would go toward the recording project. With the exception of a 3% credit card fee, which is a standard fee for any secure online credit card transaction service, ALL of the monies that are donated to the Sacred Heart Project are going directly towards these budgetary items: Musicians, producer, engineer, studio fees, mixing & mastering fees, travel costs, photography & design for album package, manufacturing, and a portion of the marketing. I am not getting paid for any part of this recording.

We will be partnering up with a fantastic distribution company who will be pitching in for part of the marketing costs as well as distributing the album to all major markets. I will be the sole owner of the master, and essentially my own operating record label. We will fundraise up until July 1st, 2015 and will continue to show you the progress we are making up until that point. Thanks again for helping me realize this musical dream.
